베드로후서 1장 [킹제임스]

1. 1 Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours:

   1 예수 그리스도의 종이며 사도인 시몬 베드로는 하나님 곧 우리 구원자 예수 그리스도의 의를 통해 우리와 더불어 동일하게 보배로운 믿음을 얻은 자들에게 편지하노니

2. 2 Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

   2 하나님과 예수 우리 주를 아는 것을 통해 은혜와 화평이 너희에게 더욱 많이 있기를 원하노라.

3. 3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.

   3 우리를 부르사 영광과 덕에 이르게 하신 분을 아는 것을 통해 그분의 신성한 권능이 생명과 하나님의 성품에 속한 모든 것을 우리에게 주셨으며

4. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

   4 그것들로 말미암아 지극히 크고 보배로운 약속들이 우리에게 주어졌나니 이것은 이 약속들에 힘입어 너희가 정욕으로 인해 세상에 있게 된 썩을 것을 피하여 하나님의 본성에 참여하는 자가 되게 하려 함이니라.

5. 5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;

   5 이것과 더불어 열심을 다하여 너희 믿음에 덕을, 덕에 지식을,

6. 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;

   6 지식에 절제를, 절제에 인내를, 인내에 하나님의 성품을,

7. 7 and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.

   7 하나님의 성품에 형제의 친절을, 형제의 친절에 사랑을 더하라.

8. 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

   8 이것들이 너희 안에 있어 풍성하면 그것들이 너희가 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 아는 것에 빈약하거나 열매를 맺지 못하는 자가 되지 아니하게 하리라.

9. 9 But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.

   9 그러나 이것들이 없는 자는 눈먼 자요 멀리 볼 수 없는 자며 자기의 옛 죄들에서 자기가 깨끗하게 된 것을 잊은 자니라.

10. 10 Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall,

    10 그러므로 형제들아, 더욱 열심을 내어 너희가 부름받은 것과 선택받은 것을 확고히 하라. 너희가 이것들을 행하면 결코 넘어지지 아니하리니

11. 11 and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

    11 이렇게 우리 주 곧 구원자 예수 그리스도의 영존하는 왕국에 들어감을 주께서 너희에게 풍성히 베푸시리라.

12. 12 So I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you now have.

    12 그러므로 비록 너희가 이것들을 알고 현재의 진리에 굳게 서 있을지라도 너희가 항상 그것들을 기억하게 하는 일에 내가 게으르지 아니하리라.

13. 13 I think it is right to refresh your memory as long as I live in the tent of this body,

    13 참으로 내가 이 장막에 있는 동안에 너희가 기억하게 하여 너희를 일깨우는 것이 합당하다고 생각하노니

14. 14 because I know that I will soon put it aside, as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.

    14 이는 우리 주 예수 그리스도께서 내게 보여 주신 것같이 내가 머잖아 반드시 나의 이 장막을 벗어야 할 줄 알기 때문이라.

15. 15 And I will make every effort to see that after my departure you will always be able to remember these things.

    15 또한 내가 죽은 뒤에도 너희가 항상 이것들을 기억할 수 있도록 내가 애쓰리라.

16. 16 We did not follow cleverly invented stories when we told you about the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

    16 우리가 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 권능과 오심을 너희에게 알려 줄 때에 우리는 교묘히 꾸며 낸 이야기들을 따르지 아니하였고 오히려 우리는 그분의 위엄을 눈으로 본 자들이었노라.

17. 17 For he received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."

    17 뛰어난 영광으로부터 이러한 음성이 그분께 나서 이르시기를, 이 사람은 내 사랑하는 아들이라. 내가 그를 매우 기뻐하노라, 하실 때에 그분께서 하나님 아버지로부터 존귀와 영광을 받으셨느니라.

18. 18 We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with him on the sacred mountain.

    18 하늘로부터 나온 이 음성은 우리가 그분과 함께 거룩한 산에 있을 때에 들은 것이니라.

19. 19 And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

    19 또한 우리에게는 더 확실한 대언의 말씀이 있는데 날이 새어 샛별이 너희 마음속에 떠오를 때까지 너희가 어두운 곳에서 비치는 빛을 대하듯 이 말씀에 주의를 기울이는 것이 너희에게 좋으니라.

20. 20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophets own interpretation.

    20 먼저 이것을 알라. 즉 성경기록의 대언은 결코 어떤 사적인 해석에서 나지 아니하였나니

21. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

    21 대언은 옛적에 사람의 뜻에 의해 나오지 아니하였고 오히려 하나님의 거룩한 사람들은 성령님께서 자기들을 움직이시는 대로 말하였느니라.
