1. 1 그들이 이집트 땅에서 나온 뒤 둘째 해 둘째 달 첫째 날에 주께서 시내 광야에 있는 회중의 성막에서 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시기를,

   1 And Jehovah spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tent of meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

2. 2 너희는 이스라엘 자손 온 회중의 총수를 조사하되 그들의 가족들과 그들의 조상들 집에 따라 그들의 이름들 수와 함께 모든 남자를 그들의 머릿수대로 계수하라.

   2 Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers houses, according to the number of the names, every male, by their polls;

3. 3 이스라엘 안에서 스무 살 이상이 되어 전쟁에 나갈 수 있는 모든 자를 너와 아론은 그들의 군대대로 계수하고

   3 from twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel, thou and Aaron shall number them by their hosts.

4. 4 각 지파에서 한 사람 곧 각각 자기 조상들 집에서 우두머리인 사람을 취해 너희와 함께하게 할지니라.

   4 And with you there shall be a man of every tribe; every one head of his fathers house.

5. 5 ¶ 너희와 함께 설 사람들의 이름은 이러하니 르우벤 지파에서는 스데울의 아들 엘리술이요,

   5 And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you. Of Reuben: Elizur the son of Shedeur.

6. 6 시므온에게서는 수리삿대의 아들 슬루미엘이요,

   6 Of Simeon: Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

7. 7 유다에게서는 암미나답의 아들 나손이요,

   7 Of Judah: Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

8. 8 잇사갈에게서는 수알의 아들 느다네엘이요,

   8 Of Issachar: Nethanel the son of Zuar.

9. 9 스불론에게서는 헬론의 아들 엘리압이요,

   9 Of Zebulun: Eliab the son of Helon.

10. 10 요셉 자손 중 에브라임에게서는 암미훗의 아들 엘리사마요, 므낫세에게서는 브다술의 아들 가말리엘이요,

    10 Of the children of Joseph: Of Ephraim: Elishama the son of Ammihud. Of Manasseh: Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

11. 11 베냐민에게서는 기드오니의 아들 아비단이요,

    11 Of Benjamin: Abidan the son of Gideoni.

12. 12 단에게서는 암미삿대의 아들 아히에셀이요,

    12 Of Dan: Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

13. 13 아셀에게서는 오그란의 아들 바기엘이요,

    13 Of Asher: Pagiel the son of Ochran.

14. 14 갓에게서는 드우엘의 아들 엘리아삽이요,

    14 Of Gad: Eliasaph the son of Deuel.

15. 15 납달리에게서는 에난의 아들 아히라니라, 하시니라.

    15 Of Napthtali: Ahira the son of Enan.

16. 16 이들은 회중 가운데서 명성 있는 자들이요, 그들의 조상들 지파의 통치자들로 이스라엘 안에서 수천 명의 우두머리들이더라.

    16 These are they that were called of the congregation, the princes of the tribes of their fathers; they were the heads of the thousands of Israel.

17. 17 ¶ 모세와 아론이 이름이 명기된 이 사람들을 데리고

    17 And Moses and Aaron took these men that are mentioned by name:

18. 18 둘째 달 첫째 날에 온 회중을 함께 모으니 그들이 자기 가족들과 자기 조상들 집에 따라 자기들의 혈통을 밝히되 스무 살 이상인 자들이 이름들 수에 따라 그들의 머릿수대로 혈통을 밝히매

    18 And they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month; and they declared their pedigrees after their families, by their fathers houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls.

19. 19 주께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 그가 시내 광야에서 그들을 계수하니라.

    19 As Jehovah commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.

20. 20 이스라엘의 맏아들 르우벤의 자손 즉 그들의 세대들과 그들의 가족들과 그들의 조상들 집에 따라 스무 살 이상인 모든 남자 곧 싸움에 나갈 수 있는 모든 자를 이름들 수에 따라 그들의 머릿수대로 계수하니

    20 And the children of Reuben, Israels first-born, their generations, by their families, by their fathers houses, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

21. 21 그들 중에서 계수된 자들 즉 르우벤 지파에 속한 자들이 사만 육천오백 명이더라.

    21 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Reuben, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.

22. 22 ¶ 시므온 자손에 속한 자들 곧 그들의 세대들과 그들의 가족들과 그들의 조상들 집에 따라 그들 중에서 계수된 자들 즉 스무 살 이상인 모든 남자 곧 싸움에 나갈 수 있는 모든 자를 이름들 수에 따라 그들의 머릿수대로 계수하니

    22 Of the children of Simeon, their generations, by their families, by their fathers houses, those that were numbered thereof, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

23. 23 그들 중에서 계수된 자들 즉 시므온 지파에 속한 자들이 오만 구천삼백 명이더라.

    23 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred.

24. 24 ¶ 갓 자손에 속한 자들 곧 그들의 세대들과 그들의 가족들과 그들의 조상들 집에 따라 스무 살 이상이 되어 싸움에 나갈 수 있는 모든 자를 이름들 수에 따라 계수하니

    24 Of the children of Gad, their generations, by their families, by their fathers houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

25. 25 그들 중에서 계수된 자들 즉 갓 지파에 속한 자들이 사만 오천육백오십 명이더라.

    25 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Gad, were forty and five thousand six hundred and fifty.

26. 26 ¶ 유다 자손에 속한 자들 곧 그들의 세대들과 그들의 가족들과 그들의 조상들 집에 따라 스무 살 이상이 되어 싸움에 나갈 수 있는 모든 자를 이름들 수에 따라 계수하니

    26 Of the children of Judah, their generations, by their families, by their fathers houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

27. 27 그들 중에서 계수된 자들 즉 유다 지파에 속한 자들이 칠만 사천육백 명이더라.

    27 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Judah, were threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred.

28. 28 ¶ 잇사갈 자손에 속한 자들 곧 그들의 세대들과 그들의 가족들과 그들의 조상들 집에 따라 스무 살 이상이 되어 싸움에 나갈 수 있는 모든 자를 이름들 수에 따라 계수하니

    28 Of the children of Issachar, their generations, by their families, by their fathers houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

29. 29 그들 중에서 계수된 자들 즉 잇사갈 지파에 속한 자들이 오만 사천사백 명이더라.

    29 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Issachar, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred.

30. 30 ¶ 스불론 자손에 속한 자들 곧 그들의 세대들과 그들의 가족들과 그들의 조상들 집에 따라 스무 살 이상이 되어 싸움에 나갈 수 있는 모든 자를 이름들 수에 따라 계수하니

    30 Of the children of Zebulun, their generations, by their families, by their fathers houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

31. 31 그들 중에서 계수된 자들 즉 스불론 지파에 속한 자들이 오만 칠천사백 명이더라.

    31 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty and seven thousand and four hundred.

32. 32 ¶ 요셉 자손에 속한 자들 즉 에브라임 자손에 속한 자들 곧 그들의 세대들과 그들의 가족들과 그들의 조상들 집에 따라 스무 살 이상이 되어 싸움에 나갈 수 있는 모든 자를 이름들 수에 따라 계수하니

    32 Of the children of Joseph, (namely), of the children of Ephraim, their generations, by their families, by their fathers houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

33. 33 그들 중에서 계수된 자들 즉 에브라임 지파에 속한 자들이 사만 오백 명이더라.

    33 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand and five hundred.

34. 34 ¶ 므낫세 자손에 속한 자들 곧 그들의 세대들과 그들의 가족들과 그들의 조상들 집에 따라 스무 살 이상이 되어 싸움에 나갈 수 있는 모든 자를 이름들 수에 따라 계수하니

    34 Of the children of Manasseh, their generations, by their families, by their fathers houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

35. 35 그들 중에서 계수된 자들 즉 므낫세 지파에 속한 자들이 삼만 이천이백 명이더라.

    35 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred.

36. 36 ¶ 베냐민 자손에 속한 자들 곧 그들의 세대들과 그들의 가족들과 그들의 조상들 집에 따라 스무 살 이상이 되어 싸움에 나갈 수 있는 모든 자를 이름들 수에 따라 계수하니

    36 Of the children of Benjamin, their generations, by their families, by their fathers houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

37. 37 그들 중에서 계수된 자들 즉 베냐민 지파에 속한 자들이 삼만 오천사백 명이더라.

    37 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Benjamin, were thirty and five thousand and four hundred.

38. 38 ¶ 단 자손에 속한 자들 곧 그들의 세대들과 그들의 가족들과 그들의 조상들 집에 따라 스무 살 이상이 되어 싸움에 나갈 수 있는 모든 자를 이름들 수에 따라 계수하니

    38 Of the children of Dan, their generations, by their families, by their fathers houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

39. 39 그들 중에서 계수된 자들 즉 단 지파에 속한 자들이 육만 이천칠백 명이더라.

    39 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Dan, were threescore and two thousand and seven hundred.

40. 40 ¶ 아셀 자손에 속한 자들 곧 그들의 세대들과 그들의 가족들과 그들의 조상들 집에 따라 스무 살 이상이 되어 싸움에 나갈 수 있는 모든 자를 이름들 수에 따라 계수하니

    40 Of the children of Asher, their generations, by their families, by their fathers houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

41. 41 그들 중에서 계수된 자들 즉 아셀 지파에 속한 자들이 사만 천오백 명이더라.

    41 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Asher, were forty and one thousand and five hundred.

42. 42 ¶ 납달리 자손에 속한 자들 곧 두루 그들의 세대들과 그들의 가족들과 그들의 조상들 집에 따라 스무 살 이상이 되어 싸움에 나갈 수 있는 모든 자를 이름들 수에 따라 계수하니

    42 Of the children of Naphtali, their generations, by their families, by their fathers houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

43. 43 그들 중에서 계수된 자들 즉 납달리 지파에 속한 자들이 오만 삼천사백 명이더라.

    43 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.

44. 44 계수된 자들이 이러한데 이들은 모세와 아론과 열두 명의 이스라엘 통치자들 곧 각각 자기 조상들 집을 대표하는 자들이 계수한 자들이더라.

    44 These are they that were numbered, whom Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: they were each one for his fathers house.

45. 45 이렇게 이스라엘 자손 중에서 그들의 조상들 집에 따라 스무 살 이상인 모든 자들 즉 이스라엘 안에서 전쟁에 나갈 수 있는 모든 자들이 계수되었으며

    45 So all they that were numbered of the children of Israel by their fathers houses, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Israel;

46. 46 참으로 계수된 모든 자들이 육십만 삼천오백오십 명이더라.

    46 even all they that were numbered were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

47. 47 ¶ 그러나 레위 사람들은 그들의 조상들 지파대로 그들 가운데서 계수되지 아니하였으니

    47 But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.

48. 48 이는 주께서 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시기를,

    48 For Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

49. 49 너는 레위 지파만은 계수하지 말고 이스라엘 자손 가운데서 그들의 총수를 조사하지 말며

    49 Only the tribe of Levi thou shalt not number, neither shalt thou take the sum of them among the children of Israel;

50. 50 다만 레위 사람들을 임명하여 증언의 성막과 그것의 모든 기구와 그것에 속한 모든 것을 관리하게 할지니라. 그들은 성막과 그것의 모든 기구를 나르고 성막을 위해 섬기며 성막 주위에 진을 칠 것이며

    50 but appoint thou the Levites over the tabernacle of the testimony, and over all the furniture thereof, and over all that belongeth to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the furniture thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall encamp round about the tabernacle.

51. 51 성막이 앞으로 갈 때에는 레위 사람들이 그것을 거두어 내리고 성막을 칠 때에는 레위 사람들이 그것을 세울 것이요, 가까이 오는 낯선 자는 죽일지니라.

    51 And when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.

52. 52 이스라엘 자손은 자기들의 장막을 치되 자기들의 군대 전체에 걸쳐 각 사람이 자기 진영 옆에, 각 사람이 자기 군기 옆에 칠 것이니라.

    52 And the children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their hosts.

53. 53 그러나 레위 사람들은 증언의 성막 주위에 진을 쳐서 이스라엘 자손 회중에게 진노가 닥치지 않게 할 것이요, 또 레위 사람들은 증언의 성막에 대한 책무를 지킬지니라, 하셨기 때문이더라.

    53 But the Levites shall encamp round about the tabernacle of the testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of the testimony.

54. 54 이스라엘 자손이 주께서 모세에게 명령하신 모든 것에 따라 행하되 그대로 행하였더라.

    54 Thus did the children of Israel; according to all that Jehovah commanded Moses, so did they.
