열왕기하 1장 [킹제임스]

1. 1 After Ahabs death, Moab rebelled against Israel.

   1 그때 아합이 죽은 뒤에 모압이 이스라엘을 배반하니라.

2. 2 Now Ahaziah had fallen through the lattice of his upper room in Samaria and injured himself. So he sent messengers, saying to them, "Go and consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron, to see if I will recover from this injury."

   2 아하시야가 사마리아에 있는 자기 다락방 격자창에서 떨어져 병들매 사자들을 보내며 그들에게 이르되, 가서 내가 이 병에서 나을지 에그론의 신 바알세붑에게 물으라, 하였으나

3. 3 But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite, "Go up and meet the messengers of the king of Samaria and ask them, Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going off to consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron?

   3 주의 천사가 디셉 사람 엘리야에게 이르되, 일어나서 사마리아 왕의 사자들을 만나러 올라가 그들에게 말하기를, 너희가 에그론의 신 바알세붑에게 물으러 가는 것은 이스라엘에 하나님이 없기 때문이 아니냐?

4. 4 Therefore this is what the LORD says: You will not leave the bed you are lying on. You will certainly die!" So Elijah went.

   4 그러므로 이제 주께서 이같이 말씀하시느니라. 네가 올라간 그 침상에서 내려오지 못할 것이요, 네가 반드시 죽으리라, 하라, 하매 엘리야가 떠나니라.

5. 5 When the messengers returned to the king, he asked them, "Why have you come back?"

   5 ¶ 사자들이 왕에게 돌아오매 그가 그들에게 이르기를, 너희가 어찌하여 지금 돌아왔느냐? 하니

6. 6 "A man came to meet us," they replied. "And he said to us, Go back to the king who sent you and tell him, "This is what the LORD says: Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are sending men to consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you will not leave the bed you are lying on. You will certainly die!" "

   6 그들이 그에게 이르되, 한 사람이 우리를 만나러 올라와 우리에게 말하기를, 가서 너희를 보낸 왕에게 되돌아가 그에게 이르되, 주께서 이같이 말씀하시느니라. 네가 에그론의 신 바알세붑에게 물으려고 사람을 보내는 것은 이스라엘에 하나님이 없기 때문이 아니냐? 그러므로 네가 올라간 그 침상에서 내려오지 못할 것이요, 네가 반드시 죽으리라, 하라, 하더이다, 하매

7. 7 The king asked them, "What kind of man was it who came to meet you and told you this?"

   7 그가 그들에게 이르되, 너희를 만나러 올라와 이 말을 너희에게 고한 자는 어떻게 생긴 사람이더냐? 하니

8. 8 They replied, "He was a man with a garment of hair and with a leather belt around his waist." The king said, "That was Elijah the Tishbite."

   8 그들이 왕에게 대답하되, 그는 털이 많은 사람이며 허리에 가죽띠를 띠었더이다, 하매 왕이 이르되, 그는 디셉 사람 엘리야라, 하니라.

9. 9 Then he sent to Elijah a captain with his company of fifty men. The captain went up to Elijah, who was sitting on the top of a hill, and said to him, "Man of God, the king says, Come down!"

   9 그때에 왕이 오십인 대장을 그의 부하 오십 명과 함께 엘리야에게 보내매 그가 엘리야에게 올라갔는데, 보라, 엘리야가 산꼭대기에 앉아 있으므로 그가 엘리야에게 이르되, 하나님의 사람이여, 왕께서 이르시기를, 내려오라, 하셨나이다, 하니

10. 10 Elijah answered the captain, "If I am a man of God, may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men!" Then fire fell from heaven and consumed the captain and his men.

    10 엘리야가 오십인 대장에게 응답하여 이르되, 내가 만일 하나님의 사람이라면 불이 하늘에서 내려와 너와 네 부하 오십 명을 태워 버리기 원하노라, 하매 불이 하늘에서 내려와 그와 그의 부하 오십 명을 태워 버렸더라.

11. 11 At this the king sent to Elijah another captain with his fifty men. The captain said to him, "Man of God, this is what the king says, Come down at once!"

    11 왕이 또한 다시 다른 오십인 대장을 그의 부하 오십 명과 함께 엘리야에게 보내매 그가 엘리야에게 응답하여 이르되, 오 하나님의 사람이여, 왕께서 이같이 이르시기를, 속히 내려오라, 하셨나이다, 하니

12. 12 "If I am a man of God," Elijah replied, "may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men!" Then the fire of God fell from heaven and consumed him and his fifty men.

    12 엘리야가 그들에게 응답하여 이르되, 내가 만일 하나님의 사람이라면 불이 하늘에서 내려와 너와 네 부하 오십 명을 태워 버리기 원하노라, 하매 하나님의 불이 하늘에서 내려와 그와 그의 부하 오십 명을 태워 버렸더라.

13. 13 So the king sent a third captain with his fifty men. This third captain went up and fell on his knees before Elijah. "Man of God," he begged, "please have respect for my life and the lives of these fifty men, your servants!

    13 ¶ 왕이 다시 세 번째 오십인 대장을 그의 부하 오십 명과 함께 보내므로 세 번째 오십인 대장이 올라가 엘리야 앞에 온 뒤 무릎을 꿇고 엎드려 그에게 간청하며 그에게 이르되, 오 하나님의 사람이여, 원하건대 내 생명과 당신의 종들인 이 오십 명의 생명을 당신 눈앞에서 귀히 여기소서.

14. 14 See, fire has fallen from heaven and consumed the first two captains and all their men. But now have respect for my life!"

    14 보소서, 불이 하늘에서 내려와 이전의 오십인 대장 두 명을 그들의 부하 오십 명과 함께 태웠으니 그러므로 이제 내 생명을 당신 눈앞에서 귀히 여기소서, 하매

15. 15 The angel of the LORD said to Elijah, "Go down with him; do not be afraid of him." So Elijah got up and went down with him to the king.

    15 주의 천사가 엘리야에게 이르되, 그를 두려워하지 말고 그와 함께 내려가라, 하므로 엘리야가 일어나서 그와 함께 왕에게 내려와

16. 16 He told the king, "This is what the LORD says: Is it because there is no God in Israel for you to consult that you have sent messengers to consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron? Because you have done this, you will never leave the bed you are lying on. You will certainly die!"

    16 그에게 말하되, 주께서 이같이 말씀하시느니라. 네가 에그론의 신 바알세붑에게 물으려고 사자들을 보내었으니 그것은 이스라엘에 말씀을 여쭐 만한 신이 없기 때문이 아니냐? 그러므로 네가 올라간 그 침상에서 내려오지 못할 것이요, 네가 반드시 죽으리라, 하니라.

17. 17 So he died, according to the word of the LORD that Elijah had spoken. Because Ahaziah had no son, Joram succeeded him as king in the second year of Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah.

    17 ¶ 이렇게 그가 엘리야가 말한 주의 말씀대로 죽고 그에게 아들이 없었으므로 여호람이 그를 대신하여 유다 왕 여호사밧의 아들 여호람의 제이년에 통치하니라.

18. 18 As for all the other events of Ahaziahs reign, and what he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel?

    18 이제 아하시야가 행한 그의 나머지 행적은 이스라엘 왕들의 연대기 책에 기록되어 있지 아니하냐?
